Fins of the Bay mugs

While there are no resident bottlenose dolphins in the Bay of Islands, there are frequent users and infrequent users, which can be recognized due to the scarring on their dorsal fins. The fins displayed on this mug all belong to one pod, recognised over at least the last 8 years as the Bay of Islands’ frequent users! This means that if you are heading out in the Bay, you are most likely to see those 16 individuals. Make sure you learn those fins while drinking your morning tea, and if you are lucky enough to see them remember to give them space!
